AnthonyMICHAELPAYNE of Wykin Road, Hinckley, Leics has died on 14th March 2008 at George Eliott Hospital aged 70 years. Place of funeral service Small Chapel in Hinckley Cemetary. Michael Anthony Payne leaves behind a loving family, a wife Sylvia, daughter Joy, son David, son-in-law Terry, grandchildren Andrew, Rosanna, Emily, great grandchildren Freya Rose & newly born Joshua. Michael was a carpenter all his life and did a lot of work for the Schools and Hospitals around Warwickshire, and a lot of his work was done in the George Eliot Hospital, where he passed away on March 14th 2008. He enjoyed the countryside, and cycling around the lanes of Shenton, Stoke Golding, Bosworth, Dadlington, etc armed with a flask (of tea) and his pipe to keep him company, and always a map and a book in his saddle bag. He was an accomplished Darts Player and the Captain of 'The Flintock' (Pub) in the late 70's to 80's. The 'Flintock' darts team, became known as the team that was almost unbeatable, with many well known Dart players in their team, and won many cups & trophies. Although a quiet man, he will be very much missed by his family and friends of the darting world.
